I had a mixed experience at the Royal Manotel. On the upside, the location was fantastic, letting me explore nearby cafes and the lake with ease. However, the room quality was disappointing, from the lingering smell of smoke to the noisy trains outside. While I appreciated the friendly staff and the clean areas, the overall vibe just didn't live up to the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The room was disappointing, showing lots of wear and not as pictured, plus the train noise made it hard to sleep.
Service
6.0
Staff were friendly but a bit slow; had a good experience with room issues, but overall some interactions felt lacking.
Location
9.0
Perfectly located near the lake and train station, which made getting around the city super easy.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was basic and overpriced, didn't offer much variety, but at least the meals in the restaurant were decent.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities like the gym were way too small; not at all what I expected from a place that claims to be upscale.

7.2/10

I had a mixed experience at Royal Manotel. The staff, particularly in the breakfast room, were warm and friendly, which made my mornings brighter. However, I found that the rooms could use some updates, and there were cleanliness issues that marred my experience. The location was truly convenient, giving easy access to public transport, which was a major plus for exploring Geneva.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was clean but dated, with some visible wear and tear. I encountered issues like a lack of adequate lighting and a noisy environment due to nearby trains, which made it difficult to relax comfortably.
Service
6.0
The service was hit or miss; while some staff were helpful, others were indifferent. I had a particularly rude encounter at the front desk that left a bad impression. However, the breakfast staff were really good and made an effort to ensure I felt welcomed each morning.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic, very close to the train station and with a tram stop right outside. It made it so easy to explore the city and get to the airport. This accessibility was a significant benefit during my stay.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast offered a reasonable variety, though I wished there were more choices available. I did enjoy the cafe atmosphere, particularly the vibe created by the friendly breakfast staff.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities offered were decent, although I found the sauna and gym quite underwhelming. On the bright side, I appreciated the complimentary transport cards that helped me navigate the city easily.

I enjoyed the convenient location of Royal Manotel, which made exploring Geneva a breeze. But I was disappointed with the noise from the trains and the outdated bathrooms. The breakfast service could definitely use some improvement too.

Rooms
7.0
My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, though it felt a bit warm throughout my stay. I had to keep the window open, which let in some street noise.
Service
6.0
While the reception staff was generally polite and helpful, I found the breakfast service lacking due to a shortage of staff and management oversight.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, just a short walk from the main train station and close to the lake. it made getting around the city easy.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast options were decent, but the execution and service left a lot to be desired, especially when compared to other meals I had at L'aparté, which were excellent.
Facilities

I appreciated the cleanliness and amenities offered, but the gym equipment appeared quite old and in need of an upgrade.

My stay at Royal Manotel had its ups and downs. The location was really good, making it easy to explore Geneva, but I encountered significant issues with staff service and room amenities. Cleanliness was a highlight, but the outdated facilities left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
While my room was clean, I found the amenities to be lacking for a four-star hotel. The furniture felt dated and some of the electrical outlets didn't work.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, I experienced some rudeness from the staff when I requested milk for my coffee. Given the price I paid, I expected far more warmth and responsiveness.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was a major advantage, situated near public transport and key attractions, which made exploring the city quite convenient.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the breakfast variety, though I felt it was overpriced. The in-house bistro was a bright spot with good service and quality food.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were pretty average for the price point. The lack of working amenities in my room and the limited dining options were disappointing.

My stay at the Royal Manotel had some notable highs and lows. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station, making it very convenient for travel. However, I encountered some significant issues during my stay, particularly with the breakfast service, which was chaotic and disappointing. While my room was clean, I found it quite small and stuffy, and there were issues like flies in the bathroom that affected my comfort.

Rooms
6.0
My room was neat but very small, with a lack of ventilation that made it feel stuffy. The bathroom was clean, though it had issues with flies that the staff couldn't adequately address.
Service
6.0
I felt the staff was friendly and accommodating, especially when I needed assistance. However, consistency in service quality was lacking, particularly during breakfast where I faced long waits and confusion with my orders.
Location
8.0
The location was a huge plus, with easy access to both the train station and tram services right outside the hotel. This made it simple to explore Geneva, though I did stumble into some undesired areas when walking with my kids.
Dining
5.0
While the breakfast options were extensive, the execution was poor. I experienced long waits and several mistakes in my order, which really took away from the start of my day.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered a decent range of facilities, including a fitness room and sauna, but the cleanliness and upkeep could be improved. The renovations also made parts of the hotel feel less inviting.
